The HHO myth

It seems I must say something about this on board Hydrogen Generation craze.

Although I think it's finally tapering off. There are many who have asked me about this YouTube phenomenon and many "interesting" devices have been made. Mostly through on board electrolysis. The big goal is the generation of a decent volume without large energy losses from high electrical power requirements, more parasitic losses to name a couple. Thus far to my knowledge these HHO systems have not been substantiated as a true viable source or means. At least through any University or National Laboratory with any measurable success. (Actually, Dr. John Heywood from MIT was asked to observe the test results at an independent lab only to show the actual energy loss derived from the system, see links below) Many unrealistic claims are made on many Internet sites and many have been found to be bogus in regards to claims. (most people fall into the placebo effect after installing such systems in which their driving habits change, for the better) Many earlier systems having been utilized over some time now, show that induction chambers, cylinder heads and combustion chambers are experiencing some corrosion problems. There are now law suits recently related to these systems often marketed through the Internet. Caution should be taken regarding some of the claims made.

For us however, consistent and extensive testing using credible facilities showing repeatable data that show consistency, is extremely important before any claims can be made to the public even with our fuel induction systems. Credibility in today's market is essential. Thus we utilize real science and physics principles in our design. I am a big proponent against Pseudo-Science regarding displaced scientific terminology, assumed and unsubstantiated information plaguing many Internet sites. Here are a couple sites that show one scam HHO company being closed by the ftc. : http://cr4.globalspec.com/thread/46401/HHO-Update-Dennis-Lee-Out-of-Business and this one with more detail:
